Gay in Manchester- How to Meet Guys? Are you at university? Answer these quick questions and feature in TSR's next article! Start new discussion Reply. I'm a student in Manchester, 2nd year well first, took year out. I broke up with a guy i met in school by sheer chance we connected and got together.
Very good looking, funny and got on well with all my friends. If he wasn't link self-hating with family issues it might've worked out!
Follow 17 You'll find all sorts of guys on those but people tend to be too picky when given too much choice. I think we just need one night that is known to be the night that decent lads go to and that's where we can meet! Anyway, i'm looking for that again. My problem is everyone assumes this web page am straight and i'm not very good at broadcasting otherwise. I'm in my comfort zone when i'm with 'lads' and I cannot stand camp. I know Canal Street is the obvious answer, but it looks so The gallery from clubs are just filled with either old guys, insanely muscly guys shirtless all night or overly camp guys soaked in fake tan.
I feel if that puts me off, it probably puts my type off. Can anyone who's been there tell me i'm wrong i don't know? The LGBT Society now Q, whatever that means seems a bit political and tbh i'm uncomfortable being lumped in with people who have 'gender identity' issues.
I can't empathize with that really. I'm a decent looking bloke I Free Gay Dating Sites In Manchester and am a pretty confident speaker with a bit of intelligence, but i'm worrying that my ex was a fluke.
My mates have been completely cool with it, but i could never introduce them to a big queen. It needs to be someone that can get on with them like I can.
Just a bloke who happens to like guys. Surely there's one or two of them about! Sadian Follow 25 followers 12 badges Send a private message to Sadian. Follow 4 My housemate's gay in Manchester and has quite a lively love life with fairly regular guys. He works on canal street though so I guess it's easier for him to meet the few gems that pass through. He's on a couple of dating sites as well which I wouldn't rule out, my other gay housemate met her girlfriend through them. Follow 5 Sadly Manchester attracts a lot of camp queens looking for the gay life due to its reputation as one of the best gay scenes in the country. It's a good night out here like any gay scene you aren't going to meet a guy who wants more than drunken fun. LGBT societies tend not to be much better but it's worth a try. You'll either fit in and love it or hate it. If you want to do the scene then you should do student nights to avoid the older crowd, the muscley men and many tanned queens.
Head link the Free Gay Dating Sites In Manchester places on the street before that.
I'm going there on Tuesday lol. But I think your best chance is to use some of the "dating" websites and try not to cringe too much http://simplegirls.date/po/why-do-men-like-short-women.php all the sex talk and public nudity.

You'll find all sorts of guys on those but people tend to be too picky when given too much choice. Just got to keep looking until you find something. Original post by Sadian Do you have some sort of problem with people with 'unnecessarily quoted' gender identity issues? Just because you're gay doesn't give you the right to discriminate more than anyone else.
Original post by Anonymous Sure everybody has their preferences but you sound like a judgemental self righteous ass. It was those same queens who could not "fit in" with society that marched and suffered for your rights, when your "normal" type were closeted, and now you call them big queens.
Original post by Anonymous I actually agree with almost everything you are saying, however you do imply that there are only these 'flamboyant, queen types' that are out of the cloest.
This is not true, there are plenty of 'straight acting' or non flamboyant acting gay people which are out of the cloest! However, there is a really good night called cha cha boudoir in cruz once a month. I think you can find out which date it's on on their Facebook page, it's possibly first friday of the month or something. There are drag queens but don't let this put you off, it doesn't necessarily attract a camp crowd. It's just a good quality night.

I am a straight guy and got taken there once against my will. I ended up going home as it wasn't my scene. Follow 18 Follow 19 You're living in an excellent city to be meeting other lgbt people.
I see more the lgbt foundation near Canal Street.
They are a charity that do social meets for lgbt people and lots of other useful services too to do with day to day lifestyle stuff. I recommend them highly.
